He was predeceased by: his wife Lois A. Hoerster (Killmeyer); his parents, Julius Hoerster and Maria Hoerster (Mansmann); and his siblings, Julius Hoerster (late Georgie), Ruth Hoerster, Mary Ann Uminski (late Stanley) and Leo Hoerster (Rita).
He is survived by: his children, Frederick J. Hoerster (Mary) and Laura O'Keeffe (Joseph); and his siblings-in-law, Rita Hoerster, Carol Killmeyer and Timothy Killmeyer (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Simon and Jude Church (1607 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (2001 Swallow Hill Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220).
