He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Marion Phillips, Sr.; his former wife Betty Phillips; his children, Jean Marie and Mary Elizabeth Phillips; his brothers, Paul Phillips, Ed Phillips and Leon Phillips; and his half-siblings, Lilian Backus, Ruthe Pecka and Robert Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, John Michael Phillips (Wanda), Lisa Wojtkowski (Stanley), Richard Phillips (Sharon), Christopher Phillips and Charles Deyo; and his siblings, David Phillips (Betty), Richard Phillips (Janice), Samuel Phillips, Martha Collins, Pearl Slater and Patty Deyo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would consider donating blood in his memory with the American Red Cross to assist others in a time of need.
