He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold M. Confer and Grace J. "Dolan" Confer; and his son-in-law Ryan Berasi. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Girardi; his children, Traci Confer of Rebersburg, Alyssa Berasi of Sumter, SC, LaCresha Moyer (Jarred) of Sumter, SC and Jason Confer of Sumter, SC; and his grandchildren, Tanesha (Nate), Dylan, Sierra, Serena (Cody), Austin, Tianna, Molly, Elizabeth, Hailey, Wyatt and Jaxon. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
