She was predeceased by: her parents, David Fleming and Katherine Deihsler Fleming. She is survived by: her husband Ronald H. Compton; her sons, Ronald Compton Jr. and Jeff Compton (Rose); her granddaughter Savanna Compton; her siblings, Nancy Chapin, David Fleming (Dale), Joan Ricci (Dan) and Richard Fleming (Amy); and her siblings-in-law, Dee Pratt and Donald Compton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of Rene's life will take place at a future time and place to be announced after the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
