He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Butcher and Margaret Butcher (Schofield); his son Wade Gary Butcher; and his siblings, Virginia "Blondie" Ward, Ronald and James Butcher.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Pelton; his daughters, April Barnes (Bill) of Danville and Angel Gray (Richard) of Poultney, VT; his daughter-in-law Joanna Butcher of Roaring Branch; his grandchildren, Jacob Butcher, Travis Butcher (Cassidy), Allyson Butcher, Alex Bishop, Luke, Lauren, Danica, Zachary Barnes, Isabella and Sophia Gray; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Wrenley; his brother Dale Butcher (Ida) of Granville Summit; his sisters-in-law, Bea Butcher of Florida and Beatrice Butcher of Granville Summit; and his friend Wayne Clark of Granville Summit. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
