He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Joseph Novosel and Catherine Elizabeth Novosel (McKinley); his son Brian Matthew Novesal; his grandsons, Gregory Michael Weaver and Matthew Brian Novesal; and his siblings, Charles Novosel, Ronald Novosel and Sandra Confer.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Louise McCreary (William) of Camp Hill, James Eugene Novesal, Jr. (Jill) of Mount Airy, Stephen Curtis Thomas of Camp Hill and Jamelyn "Liz" Elizabeth Parks (Stephen) of Grantville; his grandchildren, Jessica, Allysia, Nicklas, Kayla, Milan, Lindsay, Dante, Greyson and Brahm; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Nathaniel; and his sister Connie Harker of Bellefonte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
