He was predeceased by: his spouse Althea A. Schaeffer (Clauser); his parent Floyd A.; and his son David Schaeffer. He is survived by: his parent Alice May Schaeffer (Zellner); his daughters, Barbara "Mickey" and Mary Alice "Mickey"; his spouse Michael Hockenberry of Chambersburg; his sons, Norman Schaeffer (Robin) of Palmerton and Glenn Schaeffer (Nancy) of New Tripoli; his daughter-in-law Carol Schaeffer of Coplay; and also Joyce Schaeffer of Gouldsboro.
