She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlo Velez and Patricia Velez; and her daughter Michelle Mompie. She is survived by: her husband Jose Mompie; her grandchildren, Alyssa Breiner, Emily Mompie and Manuel Mompie; her friends, Tonya Fatzinger, Doris, Darlene and Michael; and her pet Luna.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to assist in the care of Michelle's children.
