It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Witherspoon of Gordonville, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 31, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bell and Lillian Witherspoon. He is survived by: his wife Ruby J. Witherspoon; his sons, Eric Jackson of Newark, DE, James L. Mills of Lansdale and Terrance Witherspoon of Lancaster; and his siblings, Charles Witherspoon (Martha Hicks Brown) of Sadsburyville, Geraldine Barton of South Carolina and Barbara. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
