He was predeceased by: his child Jessica Meehan (John Arthur). He is survived by: his child Juli McGowan; his grandchild Jack Arthur Meehan; and his siblings, Marilyn Blackwell (Robert), Linda Breznicky (Charles), Emmett McGowan Jr. (Kathleen), Jody Ann McEachern (Jack) and Daniel McGowan (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
