He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Whitaker and Winifred Tyrrell Whitaker; and his siblings, Gene, Joe and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Miriam Stokes; his children, Matt (Kelly), Terry (Greg Koorhan), Julie (Bruce Woltanski), Dave (Jill), Clare (Dan Lange), Marty (Elise) and Andrea (Greg Waggle); and his sisters, Eileen, Ann and Sis. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was grateful to have lived a long, good life, and we are better for having been part of it. • • • Due to Covid-19, the memorial gathering is private.
