He was predeceased by: his child Erin M. Schafle. He is survived by: his spouse Ellen C.; his children, Michael C. Schafle (Sian) and Elizabeth M. Schafle; his grandchildren, Madeline Schafle and Caroline Schafle; and his brother James Schafle (Jeanne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
