He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Vasta and Philamena Vasta. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Beng Vasta; his children, Jim Jr. (Melissa) and Lauren (Todd); his granddaughter Lily; his sisters, Lynn (Frank), Debbie (Robert) and Cheryl (Karen); and his nieces and nephews, Jon, Marc (Britney), Stephanie, Madison, Xander and TJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
