He was predeceased by: his former wife Regina L. Solarz (Moran); his parents, Peter C. Solarz and Katherine Solarz (Szaraniec); and his sister Angelis (Sophie). He is survived by: his brother Chester Solarz of Bensalem; his children, Edward D. Solarz (Eileen) of Malvern, Robert G. Solarz of Springhouse and Barbara J. Solarz (Eve) of Nova Scotia, Canada; his grandchildren, Edward (Gretchen), Mark (Kristi), Andrew (Alyssa), Gregory (Maggie) and Kara Wozniak (Christopher); his great grandchildren, Madison, Brady, Sydney, Haylee and Conor Solarz; and his wife Jean.
