He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilg and Lottie DeForest Gilg. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Gilg (Semler); his children, William E. (Marsha), Jeffery C. (Deb Gilg) and Lisa A.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Brennan and Caitlyn; and also Daniel Horgan.

The family suggests Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
