With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sharyl U. Giel (Glenshaw, Pennsylvania), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father William F. Unrath, Jr.; her stepfather Robert Fadzen; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Giel (Kobus). She is survived by: her mother Jane Kirk Unrath Fazden; her husband James Giel, Jr.; her children, James Giel, III (Ashley) and Maggie Anne Giel-Bovaird (Andrew); her stepmother Barbara Lanke; her parents-in-law, Suan and James Giel; her siblings, Becky Mullinary (Gary), William Unrath (Jane McGowan) and Daniel Unrath (Dina); her stepbrother Bruce Lanke; her brothers-in-law, Ronald Giel (Diane), David Giel (Joyce Scatena), Timothy Giel (Donna) and Gary Giel (late Bonnie); and also, Emmerling, Carl Lanke, Judy and Karen. She is also survived by cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. (1500 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elfinwild Presbyterian Church (3200 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116).
