He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Heinl; his parents, Harry E. Heinl and Clementine Heinl (Dressel); and his siblings, Harry J. Heinl and Mary Ann Wagner.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Rudolph (Joseph) and Roland J. Heinl; his grandchildren, Jessica Morgan Heinl, Joseph E. Rudolph III, Amanda Dumas (Blair) and Matthew Rudolph (Caree); his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Dumas, William Blair Dumas and Emma Rudolph; and his siblings, Carol McGrady (Dan) and Robert J. Heinl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
