He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Schafer and Helen Elizabeth Brendle; and his brother Ronald William Schafer. He is survived by: his close friends, Garth Emory, Janette Eileen Schafer (Patterson), Eve Elizabeth and Tor Anne Schafer-Voller; his stepchild Chadd Schafer; his cousin Sandra Foody (Heinz); his wife Janet; and also Brett Schafer.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home (1500 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
