She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Samuel S. Meli; her children, Jim Burgess (Elizabeth) of Sherman Oaks, CA, Peg Frain (Chuck) of West Minster, MD and Vittoria Meli of Copenhagen, Denmark.; her stepson Ian Saunders (Kara) of Calistoga, CA.; her grandchildren, Casey, Sarah, Julia and Claire Burgess; and her siblings, Margaret A. Miklancie, Ellen Marcus and James P. Miklancie. She was also cherished by many nieces and great nieces.
