She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Scotty" McGuinness and Bridget "Delia" McGuinness; her husband Joseph Sr.; her son Patrick Sr.; and her siblings, Jack, Sally and Patricia.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Shields (Bernard) of Munhall, Joseph Jr. (Jennifer) of Dunn Loring, Virginia and Brian (Lisa) of Allison Park; her granddaughters, Mara, Natalie and Bridget; her children, Cally, Claire, Nikki, Melissa, Ethan and Rhiannon; her great grandchildren, Maggie, Kate and Anna; and her grandchildren, Kal, Grayson, Lilly, Charlotte, Michael and Kenzie.
The family suggests donations be made in Mary's honor to the UPMC Senior Communities Benevolent Care Fund.
