She was predeceased by: her husband Harold "H. P."; her parents, John Karam and Mathilda Karam; and her brother Charles. She is survived by: her children, Gary Pernisek (Jennie) and Evon Kowalczyk (Dennis); her grandsons, Matthew Kowalczyk (Kelsey), Michael Kowalczyk (Tiffanie), Mark Kowalczyk, Stefan Pernisek, Brandon Pernisek and Jonathan Pernisek; and her siblings, Liz Abramovich and Eblan Karam.
