He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Snyder and Mercedes Snyder (Graham). He is survived by: his wife Diane M. Snyder; his children, Colleen Knox (Adrian), Joseph W. Snyder, Caleb, Jacob and Noah Knox; and his siblings, Patti Smith (Ronald A.) and Jim Snyder (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
