He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Smith and Margaret Smith; his son David Smith; his sisters, Barbara Subers and Rosemarie Smith; and his brother-in-law David Cinclair.
He is survived by: his children, William Smith, Jr. (Margie) and Melanie Morris (Gordon); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Ellen and Emily; his siblings, Francis Smith (Georgianna), Stephen Smith (Roselyn), Marlene Cinclair, Patrick Smith and Michael Smith (Lori); and his brother-in-law Pete Subers. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
