He was predeceased by: his wife Alice M. Sharpless; and his parents, Joseph Sharpless and Irma Lafferty. He is survived by: his son Billy Jr.; and his sisters, Carolyn Henderson (Rich) and Joanne Lange (Bert). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
