He was predeceased by: his daughter Stephanie Whalen; his parents, Louis Whalen and Peg Griffith (Crane); his stepfather Harold'Griff'Griffith; and his brother Joe Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Ginger; his grandson Logan Fritchey; and his sisters, Debbie Griffith-McGee (Tom) and Diane Griffith-Smith (Tim). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home (301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
