He was predeceased by: his father Joseph C. Smith Sr.; and his brother Daniel C. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marcella Smith; his children, Holly Smith, Rebecca Luthultz (Addison), Kevin M. Smith Jr. and Poppy of Lane Luthultz; his mother Johanna Smith; his siblings, Joseph Smith and Johanna Ryan (Paul); and his pet Dakota "Kota". He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
