He is survived by: his children, Michele Hanson of Ocean View, DE, Jessica Weir of Lewes, DE and Joseph M. Weir, Jr. of Milton, DE.; his siblings, Kathy Getz (Paul) of Linwood, PA and Frank Weir (Diane) of Oak Orchard, DE; and his nieces and nephews, Chrissie Getz, Cindy Weir Petrone and Paul Getz, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
