He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Mary Dyer Blake; his former wife Rosalie R. LaViola Blake; his son Joseph M. Blake, Jr.; his granddaughter Dana Blake; and his siblings, William M. Blake, James Blake, John Blake and Mary McAllister.
He is survived by: his wife Mej Garrahan Bernard; his daughter-in-law Valerie S. Grugan; and his children, Steven Bernard, Jeffrey Bernard and Beth Ann Reeder. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle R. C. Church (430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
