He was predeceased by: his parents, Gotthilf Grieb and Olga Grieb; and his son Albert Grieb. He is survived by: his wife Ingeborg Marie Grieb; his sons, Karl Grieb (Sue) and Kurt Grieb (Janette); his brothers, Richard (Norma), Ernst, Werner (Donna) and Gerhard Grieb (Tricia); and his grandchildren, Lydia, Landon, Lorelei and Penelope Grieb.
