He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera and Carl Lorup, Jr.; and his brother Kevin O'Brien. He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Hill (Nathan) and Faith Lorup; his sister Deborah; his niece Suzanne; and his nephews, Anthony and Zachary O'Brien.
