It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James McDevitt Sr. (Glenmoore, Pennsylvania), born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 14, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas F. McDevitt and Ann McDevitt; his wife Mary Ellen McDevitt; his children, James C. McDevitt (Doreen), Thomas F. McDevitt, Michael P. McDevitt (Heather), Janice A. Shenberger (Charles) and Penny Kubin (Nicholas); and his siblings, Nancy O'Donoghue (Joe), Marie Savinese, Bernadette McClean (Tom), Betty Devinney, Thomas McDevitt and Rosie McWilliams. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320, would be appreciated.
