He was predeceased by: his father Elmer E. Vain. He is survived by: his wife Barb (Gottheld); his children, Deb (Dennis Dehoff), Ron (Trina Vain) and Dan (Thandi Vain); and his grandchildren, Don (Becca), Terra (Bobby), Tyler (Emily), Derrick, Christopher, Austin, Bryton, Thabo, Vuyo and Nandi.
