He was predeceased by: his father Brough; and his grandparents, Charles and Sharon Brough. He is survived by: his mother Karen Ely; his daughter Natalie Ely; his siblings, Frances Mather, Ashley Kicas (Alex) and Alexander Ely (Kaitlyn); his stepsiblings, Josh and Victoria; and his nieces and nephews, Audrey, Cameron, Wesley, Jack, Arbor, Charlee and Margaret.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Helping Up Mission, 1029 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
