It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Carl Norwood of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, born in Woodbine, Maryland, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Norwood (Britt); his parents, William Norwood and Inez Norwood (Pickett); his sisters, Nancy Norwood and Hattie Norwood; and his half-sister Elsie Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Plitt (Darin) of Hanover, PA and Ruth Norwood (Haithem Chouaikhia) of Falls Church, VA; his grandsons, Garrett Plitt of Lindley, NY and Grant Plitt of Hanover, PA; his siblings, Billy Norwood of Greenbelt, MD, Martha Norwood and Irene Norwood of Frederick, MD; his half-sister Joanne Rolfe (Rick) of Niceville, FL; and his sister-in-law Margaret Britt of Westminster, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
