He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Wida (Hammaker); and his parents, Rose Wida, (Angelo) and George P. Wida, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Leas (Mark), Roxanne Fabie (Joe), Denise Wida and George Wida, III (Jamie); his grandchildren, Michelle Ma, Matthew Leas, Nicole Baldwin, Bridget Markel, Ryan Leas, Jill Kanuck, Joseph Fabie, Jordyn Langhans and Aaron Wida; and his siblings, Mary Louise Hoke, Francis Wida (Connie) and Rosaie Roth (Nick). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
