She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Alkins and Charlotte Alkins. She is survived by: her husband John Joseph Birmingham Jr.; and her children, Ruth, Thomas Michael, Joseph Patrick, Jay (April), John (Debbie) and Beth. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (576 Concord Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, a place Ruth cherished as a source of solace and strength.
