He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaughn H. Horton and Ethel M. DeWalt Horton; his former wife Marilyn Jean King Horton; and his siblings, Donald Horton, George Horton and Nondas Horton Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Marian May Yergey Erle; his children, Jill Swoyer (Ken Murray), Holly Newcomer, Jan Kucheruk and Richard Horton (Donna); and his stepchildren, Linda Biddle and Martin Erle. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
