It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Frederick Read Jr. of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Frederick, Sr. and Anna E. Read; his grandson Steven Lam; his son-in-law James Lam; and his sisters, Anna Filson and Ellen Gould.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Read; his children, Renee Lam (Paul Marioni), H. Fred Read, III (Christy), Kimberly Bryan (Robert), Tachia Read (Nathen Mitchell), Paul Marioni, III and Emma Bryan; and his siblings, John Read (Jane) and Eileen Matthews (Dale).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Benevolent Fund in honor of Fred Read, 4 Westtown Rd, Thornton, PA 19373.
