He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McElheny and Mildred McElheny (Krug); his son Timothy McElheny; and his brothers, Donald and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his sons, Rory C. Fortney of Blandburg and Dustin C. McElheny of Altoona; and his siblings, Janet Brown of Blandburg, Thomas of Blandburg, John of Blandburg, Ann Lovell of Blandburg, Gary of Blandburg, George of Coalport and Judy Elvey of Altoona. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
