With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Smith of Girardville, Pennsylvania, born in Ashland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 1, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Smith (Murphy) and Jonas Smith; his siblings, Daniel Smith and Rose Marie Smith; and his sister-in-law Sally Ann Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smith (McAvoy); his brother Jonas Smith; his children, Andrea Bzdak (Brian), Maryellen Smith, Edward J. Smith (Lori) and Eric Smith (Freidensburg); his grandchildren, Ben, Bailey, Grace, Katie, Olivia, Laney, Avery and Kalli; and his great grandchildren, Aleah and Halle. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
