We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2022, at the age of 89, Robert L. Mathews of Girard, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Mathews and Sara Mathews (Waid); his wife June E. Mathews (Rogers); his children, Janet M. Mathews and Walter Whitaker III; and his siblings, Marjorie Bort, Wilma Perry, Lila Wright, Hubert and Charles Mathews.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Swanseger (Daniel) and Alicia A. Frey; his children-in-law, Sue Whitaker and John Frey; his sisters, Linda Frank and Judy Zurinsky; his grandchildren, Jason R. Lesh (Chastity), Anne Redine (Jared), Dr. Katherine R. Whitaker (Beau Monnot) and Leah M. Benefield (Christopher); his great grandchildren, Kara (Josh), Cassandra, Lilian, Tyler, Hailey, Preston, Sophie and William; and his great great grandchildren, Melody and Raven.
