She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Walter and Juanita Walter (Rosencrans); her siblings, Ruth Duberow (Paul), Hugh Walter and Lewis Walter; her husband Harold "Tink" Downey; and her daughter Lavanda Shaaf.
She is survived by: her children, John H. Downey of Fairview, Annette M. Pratt (Anthony) of Pittsburgh and Harvey E. Downey Fairview (Louise). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fairview Fire Department and the Albion Order of the Eastern Star.
