He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Mackanos and Ann E. Mackanos (Biroscak). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Mackanos (Miller); and his children, Michelle L. Mackanos (Mike Matteo) of Erie and John M. Mackanos of Ashville, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
