He is survived by: his wife Diane M. Bender (Metzler); his sons, Charles A. Bender (Jen) and Jake M. Bender (Tania); his siblings, Marge A. Burbee, Karen M. Knorr, Gerald "Butch" Bender and David A. Bender (Celia); and his grandsons, Cole, Julian, Ethan and Sean Bender. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
