As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Doolittle and Lucile Doolittle; his sisters, Sandy Loop and Ellie Bartlett; his son Rolla Benton; his stepbrother Rocky Weislogel; and his grandsons, Joseph and Josh Benton.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Doolittle; his children, Connie Wise (Bill), Melody Inman, Charles Benton (Lisa) and Brian Benton (Tina); and his close friend Bart Inman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
