He is survived by: his wife Susan Exley Michael; his sister Gail Swartwood (Charles); his siblings-in-law, Linda Gisczinski (Robert), Patricia Smith, Edie Exley, Carla Wilson (Brian) and Mark Rand; his nieces and nephews, Michael Swartwood (Denise), Ryan Swartwood (Allison), Lindsay Patterson (John), Carl Bean (Angela), Thomas Bean (Melissa), Amanda Barnett (Shannon), Nathan Bean (Lisa), Cyndi, Laura, Robert Gisczinski, Melissa Forster (Eric), Eric Rand (Sarah), Joseph Rand (Heather), Marcus Rand, William Rand (Lindsay) and Sarah Dennis (Mark Hawley); and his friend Ron Weislogel (Kathy). He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burton Funeral Home (525 Main St E, Girard, PA 16417). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fire and Rescue, Girard United Methodist Church, ANNA Shelter, West County Paramedic Association or Erie United Methodist Alliance (EUMA).
