It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay A. Harkness of Gillett, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Harkness and Hazel Harkness (Dunbar); his brother-in-law Bruce Staudt; and his sister Susan Harkness. He is survived by: his wife Diane Harkness (Beardslee); his children, Stacy Harkness (Johnston) and Kari (Harkness); his grandchildren, Cordeelya Harkness, Selena Fitzwater, Dalton Fitzwater and Tarah Collins; his sisters, Kathleen Staudt (Harkness), Julie Larry Congdon (Harkness) and DeEtta Terry Schafer (Harkness); and his friends, Keith and Marie Seymore (Celli).
