He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence J. Alexander and Nora Alexander (Galpin); and his brothers, Eugene, Paul, Richard, Kenneth and Robert.

He is survived by: his sons, Carl Jr. of Baker, FL and Thomas of Virginia Beach, VA.; his grandson Jason Alexander (Aimee); his great grandchildren, Abby and Jason Jr. of Leesburg, GA; his grandson David Alexander; his great grandchild Anthony of Camp Lejeune, NC; his caregiver Daniel Barnes (Amanda); his nephew Tiger Alexander Jr. (Ken); and his niece Helen Davis. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
