He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam B. Armbruster, Sr. and Nancy Armbruster (Booth); and his brother Robert Boarman. He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Armbruster (Lenker); his children, Michael Armbruster (Ruth) of Cleona, PA, Stephen Armbruster (Linda Seibert) and Audrey Rotell (Doug) of Port Charlotte, FL; his stepchildren, Rebecca Major (Joe) and Daniel Jenkins (Frank Bork); his grandchildren, Stephanie Sharpe, Seth Dawicki and Cole Major; and his great grandchildren, Alexis Espinal, Natalia Espinal and Jayden Sharpe.
