He was predeceased by: his parents, Orestes Schaffer and Luella Schaffer (Grim); and his brothers, Larry Schaffer and Richard Schaffer. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sons, Steven R. Schaffer of Harrisburg and Timothy R. Schaffer of Boyertown; his grandchildren, Blake O. Schaffer and Riot F. Schaffer; and his sisters, Judy Whitesell of Bechtelsville and Linda Thiel (Fred) of Boyertown.
